Spent the weekend with our pals over in Chelan for the Winterfest 2010 show. Used to be called Fire and Ice – same thing though. Ice sculptures up and down Wooden Ave – the main drag in town. Then a VERY short parade followed by a huge bon fire at the park. Totally guessing, but there was probably one to two thousand people at the park for the fireworks after the bon fire. We had a great time…so did the kids.

Parade had a bunch of crazy fire twillers. Chelan has a very low bar to be in the parade – anyone can volunteer to be in it in fact.
The fire was already cooking down by the lake – we arrived just in time to watch the Polar Bear club run into the freezing water. Nuts, totally nuts.

Not only was this my first Fire/Ice – it was Daver/Adra’s and their kids first time too.
